What is a Secur-a-tie?
The Secur-a-tie is a webbing strap with two clips, one at each end.
Actually, it is more than that:: it is peace-of-mind.
Why does every dog need is a Sensible Secur-a-tie?
Collars come UNDONE - often at the worst time.
Does your trainer have you use a prong collar for training? A prong (or pinch) collar is considered by many trainers to be one of the safest training collars. However, prong collars can come UNDONE.
Does your dog have a wardrobe of "cute" collars? Maybe a different one for every holiday. Most of these collars have snap closures, which can come UNSNAPPED.
Are you using an electronic training collar. They, too, usually close with a snap hook. Unsnap and the collar is GONE. Face halters can SLIP OFF
In each of these cases, you may have lost the collar. Or worse, if your leash was attached to that collar, you may have LOST THE DOG.
How does the Secur-a-tie work?
Attach one clip to your dog's prong collar, cute collar, electronic collar, even head halter,
and the other clip to another collar. (Like the collar with a CollarTag.)
One collar comes undone - don't worry. The Secur-a-tie will stay connected to both collars, so your dog is still safely on-leash.
Note from Tucker's mommy:
Don't call me "paranoid". I prefer to think of it as "responsible". When walking with Tucker in places like busy city streets, I also attach a Secur-a-tie between the leash and the plain collar, in case the leash buckle should fail. Even though Tucker is great at heeling, when I have put him in a situation with potential danger, I just don't take any chances.
Made in the USA using American-made webbing.
